the Carnegie Institution of Washington, at the gala celebration in December.
The beautifully illustrated volume has 244 pages that chronicle the 100-year
history of the institution and its place at the frontiers of American science.
The authors tell the tales of science legends Barbara McClintock, George
Ellery Hale, Edwin Hubble, Vera Rubin, Alfred Kidder, and Vannevar Bush,
among others. They also look forward to the next century of Carnegie science.
